Main panel upgrades and system derating procedures.

Scheduling

MPU's and Derates need to be scheduled through the Utility provider. We do not get much say in the date and they are normally scheduling 2weeks - 2months out!

Our Utility team works with the Utility provider, and once we receive a date, our utility tech populates the date into the CRM.

This triggers an AM task to confirm that it works with the homeowner! There is different information that needs to be provided to the customer depending on which electrical alteration is to be made, so please make sure to schedule the correct script!

Derates are normally able to be scheduled the same day as the install, since we use our in house technicians to complete the work, it makes the most sense!

MPU's normally take place prior to install, so that we are able to ensure the electrician completed the work up to code prior to us jumping in.

The Account Manager will have to notate their call, titled with "Confirmed" or "NOT Confirmed" - if confirmed, we will check the confirmation box in CRM!

Once the date has been provided by the utility co. & approved by the homeowner, an inspection gets scheduled with the AHJ to provide clearance for power to be reconnected to the home after the work is completed!
