Efficiency
Comprehensive approach to home energy efficiency and solar solutions.
Efficiency in a Nut Shell
One of the unique things about Bright Home is we take a 'whole home approach' when it comes to reducing electricity costs and making the world greener. In addition to solar, we provide other services that will improve a home's use of electricity. The more efficient the home is, the less electricity it uses. The less electricity a home uses, the greener it is and the lower it's costs are!
In addition to solar, we offer:
- LED Light Bulbs
- Attic Insulation
- Aeroseal
Our sales teams will determine to the best of their ability what products a home might benefit from and a member of our ops team will install them.
Scheduling Efficiency
Once the design is complete - Efficiency is ready to be scheduled!
The account managers are reaching out to homeowners to let them know that their design is complete and they have a 24hr window to let us know if any changes are needed before we head into permitting and utility. We are also reviewing the account to see what electrical changes are needed and communicating that to the homeowners at this time. On the same call, we will schedule any efficiency items if needed.
Prior to reaching out to the HO, we need to be checking the next available date for efficiency appointment's so that we do not over scheduled our tech's. The best way to ensure we are scheduling correctly, is to overlay the SV and Efficiency calendars

It is important to review what efficiency items each HO has with their deal as it will lead to different things needing to be done by our HO's before our arrival.
BEFORE WE ARRIVE
Please move any items that restrict access to your furnace/air handler. Air handlers/ furnaces are typically located in the attic. Please make sure we have clear access to the attic access.
We need access to all air vents and return air grills. Please make accommodations and move necessary items to allow free access to all areas of your home.
Please secure all valuables
DAY OF EFFICIENCY
We have a large box truck that will need close access to your home, typically in the driveway, for our systems to operate properly. Once we are set up, it is difficult and time consuming to move our vehicle. Please park all vehicles that may need to be moved during the day on the street or freely accessible.
We will be in your home 2-6 hours (depending on size, duct leakage, and efficiency items performed) and will need continual access to all rooms and vents.
We will have the air conditioning off for 2-6 hours of the efficiency process and doors and window open for 2 hours. We prefer the home to be vacant as it will be uncomfortably warm and strongly encourage pregnant women, seniors, young children, pets and people using medical equipment to not be in the home simply as a precaution.
We will have a generator but may still need access to direct electrical circuits, this may require, in some cases, extension cords running to multiple rooms.
Please assure your security system and smoke detectors are in "off" or "standby" mode.
